Theories about what species Hvetshran originate from vary wildly, from mankind to dragon. The more likely versions include demons and demonic species, vampires, werewolves or other were creatures, and succubi/incubi.

Since Hvetshranology is still a young science, the first Hvetshranologists dating from seventeenth century, the research for their evolutionary process has only little solid proof.
